When participating in a tour, please note the following;
- Each tour takes about two hours. You will be spending a lot of time walking, so it is important to wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Please bring sufficient drinking water with you.
- Please refrain from posting personal information or images, such as the names and photographs of the tour guides or other tour participants, on websites or in other media without obtaining prior consent of the persons concerned.
- Generally speaking, tours will not be cancelled due to inclement weather. However, they may be cancelled if safety or security concerns warrant. If a cancellation occurs, the tour organizers will try to contact all scheduled participants.
What's more, the city also sponsors a volunteer sightseeing guide service, operated by English-speaking Bunkyo City citizens,
all of whom are eager to guide you to the city's points of interest.

② This temple was built in 1681 by the 5th Edo Shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi. The main hall of this temple is the largest wooden building of that time, existing in Tokyo to date.

① Origami Center is the birthplace of "origami", established in 1859. Here you will see many outstanding works of origami and fantastic demonstraions if you are lucky.
② It is commonly called Yushima Tenjin and is a Shinto shrine which enshrines Michizane Sugawara, a historical figure respected as the "God of Learning". Enjoy viewing plums in full bloom.

Akamon, the red gate of the University of Tokyo was constructed in 1827, according to established practice. Shinji-Ike, which is popularly called "Sanshiro-Ike", as set in Souseki Natsume's masterpiece.
